Format Standardization & Parsing
When you enter a phone number, our engine standardizes it using E.164 specifications. This separates the country dialing code, checks digit allocations, and ensures format validity rules are met.
Dialing Code & Region Prefix Check
We cross-reference dialing prefix patterns against standard international numbering plans and national allocation tables to identify country or region codes, general area indicators, and standard routing zones.
Risk Signal Scoring
The engine evaluates line type indicators (such as mobile, landline, premium-rate, or VoIP signals where supported) and analyzes risk attributes to flag potentially suspicious callback patterns.
Safety Report Generation
An unlocked report compiles these signals into a final phone risk score (0-100), lists safety guidelines, and outlines risk indicators to help guide call handling decisions.
Boundary Guidelines (What We Do Not Provide)
In compliance with strict privacy guidelines and safety standards, WhoCalledCheck is designed as an unknown phone risk checking tool, NOT a tracking or tracing directory. The system does not support:
- Real-time GPS tracking or positioning
- Private call log recordings or text access
- Personal backgrounds, credit files, or FCRA reports
- Guaranteed identity owner validation
