Our Mission & Purpose

About WhoCalledCheck

Helping standard phone subscribers analyze stranger phone calls, flag virtual carrier risks, and verify connection parameters.

Who We Are

WhoCalledCheck is a privacy-first web utility built to clarify caller parameters and protect consumers against callback scams such as premium-rate billing traps. We operate under the belief that subscribers should have access to transparent signaling details about unknown numbers before initiating connection callbacks. Our team focuses on formatting structures, virtual VoIP risk indicators, and country codes to decode phone signaling parameters automatically.

What We Analyze

Our search engine standardizes input parameters using the E.164 telecommunications standard. When you search a phone prefix, we verify:

  • Origin Country & Dialing Code: Validates dialing paths and flags potential high-tariff international number ranges.
  • Line Classification: Identifies if the line is routed to a physical copper landline, a mobile wireless card, or a virtual VoIP host.
  • Risk Scoring: Computes a relative phone number risk score by comparing parameters against regional threat configurations.

Why Google Sign-In is Required

Unlike standard directories, WhoCalledCheck requires users to log in via Google before purchasing full safety reports. This protection measure guarantees that report access links are securely tied to your identity, preventing crawler extraction, commercial data scraping, or unauthorized access by third parties. We do not store queries as plaintext files or share account emails with external marketing networks.

Operational Principles

Editorial & Safety Review

Our safety content and lookup guidelines are reviewed by the WhoCalledCheck product and safety team before publication. We enforce strict compliance audits to avoid claims of private database access, device monitoring, or live location tracking.

Data Handling Principles

We prioritize user privacy and data minimisation. Phone queries are processed transiently to extract metadata signals and scoring indexes. Paid reports are linked securely to verified Google authentication accounts to block public scraper harvesters.

Product Limitations

Reports reflect telecommunication signaling properties, ITU format configurations, and public reports where supported. They are supplementary safety caution tools and should not be used as official background checks or legal evidence.

Content Update Policy

We continuously review dialing prefix revisions, country allocations, and security guidelines. Content resources are revised quarterly to maintain alignment with current telecommunication routing structures.

Our Safety Boundaries

To prevent stalking, harassment, or unauthorized consumer profiling, WhoCalledCheck strictly enforces the following functional boundaries:

  • No real-time GPS coordinate maps
  • No private text messaging logs
  • No personal credit history files
  • No owner real name records
